About Us

What’s in a name – flexible packaging? Well, we think it’s the clue to our success at Moore and Buckle. Since 1981 we have built a package of expert skills and knowledge which today makes us the go-to company in our sector.

And we have remained flexible, adapting to meet customer needs great and small. We can provide a production run of one up to a million or more, with no minimum order quantity required.

We have the R&D capacity to prevent a seed germinating in a pouch for 25 years and the technical skills to recover your damaged reel of expensive laminate. We do this and much more, from pouch conversion and laminating to reel slitting and die cutting. If you have a packaging challenge, our team will find a solution. We like being tested.

Safety matters at Moore and Buckle. All our manufacturing adheres to the British Retail Consortium’s HACCP guidelines ensuring the safety of products being sold. We hold the BRC’s AA rating for Food Safety, the highest grade possible. We’ve also incorporated the Pharmaceutical standard PS9000:2011 for all activities at our production centre in St.Helens, in the North West of the UK.

And we enjoy sharing our knowledge. If flexible packaging is a foreign language to you, but you think your new product might benefit from it, there’s no better place to start your learning journey than at Moore and Buckle. Customers ask us questions every day, and we keep coming up with the answers. That’s one reason why they see us as partners, not simply suppliers.

We’re Moore and Buckle – proud of our UK manufacturing heritage. Always striving for excellence. Totally committed to our customers.

Meet the Team

Moore and Buckle was founded in 1981 and we are very proud of our UK manufacturing heritage, and the reputation we have built for customer service and quality.

Much of the secret of our success is down to the skilled team we have grown at M&B. Many of our staff have been with the company a long time. For example, Paul, Sue, John & Tom have amassed over 130 years of experience at Moore & Buckle between them!

Such dedication provides us with an unmatched wealth of experience and knowledge – and gives the company a true family feel. We all work together to please our customers and provide a first class service and products. That’s the M&B way.

Damian White
Managing Director
damian@mooreandbuckle.com
Damian joined M&B in 2016, initially as Operations Director, and then taking over as Managing Director in October 2020, replacing former MD, Derek Hewitt. Before M&B, Damian spent almost a decade in the mobility industry, helping the company grow from a small family run business, to a Lloyds Pharmacy owned enterprise with a turnover of over £25m. While there, Damian was part of a small team who won the Retail Week award for Store Design of the Year.
A native of Blackpool, he now lives in Preston with his wife and 2 sons. His spare time is split between standing on the sidelines watching his son’s football team and doing DIY projects around the house, to varying degrees of success. He is a long-suffering Manchester United supporter and has now successfully passed on this lifetime of ups and downs on to both sons, who are both fully indoctrinated! Poor lads.
George joined M&B back in 2011, straight from college and has since developed a deep understanding of the packaging industry, initially cutting his teeth in the fast-paced production environment. This formed the foundations for his current role planning the production team and liaising with customers to ensure swift turnarounds for all slitting or pouch enquiries.
He lives on the sunny side of Billinge Hill with his wife and son and is known for being an avid rugby league supporter. He follows the illustrious Saints and is an integral part of three bowling teams.

Alex joined M&B in 2021 before immediately spending a year studying for a polymer  materials science MSc at the University of Manchester. Having previously obtained a Masters of Chemistry and PhD in Materials Science, she has since expanded her knowledge into the realms of polymers, coatings, and industrial scale manufacturing of flexible packaging. She is responsible for any Technical requirements within the business as well as maintaining our BRCGS quality management system.
In her spare time, Alex is a keen home-cook, rock climber, and motorcyclist. Her weekends are often split between the hobbies or spending too much time on car maintenance. She is also an amateur MIG welder and woodworker, with several projects currently on the go that she promises she’ll finish when the weather improves.

Anna is the Quality Team Lead/Production Administrator with the background in quality, having previously worked in alcohol manufacturing. She is key to making sure M&B’s high standards are maintained.

Outside of work, she is a proud supporter of Liverpool FC, a very proud mum to her son and a devoted cat mum to two Ragdolls who definitely believe they are in charge.
